What To Expect

WHAT ARE YOUR SERVICES LIKE?

Our Sunday worship service is at 10:30 am. The worship service includes both vibrant praise and reverent worship. At 9:30 am we have Sunday School Classes (for all ages), which are a great opportunity to get to know each other better in smaller groups and to dig deeper into the Bible. The Word of God is central in our services. We teach straight from the Bible, God’s revelation of Himself to man. As we study it together, we find the Word of God is not boring; but true, living, and life-changing. The most important message that we have to tell is the gospel. “Gospel” means good news. This news is that while we were still sinners who deserved the judgment of God, Jesus Christ took our judgment upon Himself on the cross, dying and then rising from the grave. We can find salvation and new life by turning from our sins and putting our faith in Jesus to save us.

 WHAT IS YOUR MUSIC LIKE?

Music is a gift of God, given to praise Him with both exuberant rejoicing and quiet reverence. In our services you will find a blend of both rich traditional music and lively contemporary songs from various genres and styles.

WHAT IS AVAILABLE FOR MY CHILDREN AND TEENS?

On Sunday, an optional Children’s Church is available during our worship service for children up through 5th grade. This gives children a chance to learn the truths of God’s Word on their level. Sunday School is available for all ages during the 9:30 am hour.

Our Youth Group meets every Sunday at 6:00 p.m., for those in 6th – 12th grade.

On Wednesday evenings during the school year, we have a children’s ministry called AWANA (6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) for children age 2 through 5th grade.

Other children’s and youth activities are planned throughout the year.

WHAT IS A BAPTIST CHURCH?

Baptist is a word that helps explain more specifically what we believe. We are first of all Christians who have received Christ and are seeking to follow Him and teach the Word of God. We have great fellowship with many believers who are not Baptist and we do not believe we have a corner on the truth. However, we do think that the word “Baptist” can be helpful in summarizing what we believe.

If you have visited or have been a part of a Baptist church in the past, you may have been taught various things about what the word “Baptist” meant. Unfortunately there are many, some of us included, who have been in Baptist churches where the word meant something different, and less biblical, than its historical roots represent. However, the best way to understand what “Baptist” means is to look at the historical and biblical Baptist distinctives described here.
