A new adult class will be starting up on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 9:00 am. This class will be going through an eight-week course called Discipleship Explored. This course takes a journey into the book of Philippians, a letter the apostle Paul wrote to young Christians, encouraging them to stand firm and live for Christ. This compelling, challenging study will be especially inspiring to those beginning their Christian journey, but will encourage even seasoned believers. Build friendships and get connected! This class will be led by Caleb and Stacia Byers.

This coming Sunday, Sept. 13, is our fall Kickoff Sunday for 2015. Our service will include info on some of our ministries at CCBC, and a challenge to “Get in the game.” Following the service, there will be a Ministry Fair with “booths” featuring many of the ministries in our church, where you can get info, ask questions, get some food, and even sign up to serve, if you so desire. Our desire is for everyone who considers CCBC his or her church home, to get involved in serving here in some way. Kickoff Sunday is to help individuals figure out where they fit in.

Why the Church Matters
I Corinthians 12:24b-27

Why go to church? Why be a part of a church? Can’t I just love Jesus without having anything to do with church? What if I’ve really been hurt by the church? This week we will be discussing the question, “Why does the church matter?” as well as celebrating the Lord’s table. I am looking forward to worshiping with you all! – Brian

KICKOFF SUNDAY 2015: Fall is almost here and we are excited to be getting back into full gear. At our Fall Kickoff service, September 13th, you will be introduced to some of our ministries and encouraged to get in the game. Our goal is that not only will you be more informed about what exactly we do here, but, if you consider this your church home, our desire is that you will commit to serving in one of our ministries. Our Sunday morning service will be followed by a MINISTRY FAIR in the gym that will include refreshments and information tables about our various ministries where you can have your questions answered and find opportunities to be used of God in one of our ministries.
Ephesians 4:115-6 says, ” speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
If Jesus put your in our church, He put you their for a reason. You have passions, gifts and abilities that He wants to use in our church, for the sake of reaching the lost, making disciples and serving the body of Christ, and we want to help you find them.
